Specimen(s):
Bone Marrow, Hematologic Malignancies, Lymph Node, Fine-Needle Aspirate, Pleural Effusion, CSF
Minimum:
Marrow Aspirate: 1-2 cc of bone marrow collected in a bone marrow media tube available from our lab or in a green-top Vacutainer® with sodium heparin. Invert tube to mix well. Label the tube with patient name and medical record number. DO NOT FREEZE OR CENTRIFUGE.

Lymph Node: piece of lymph node biopsy

Tumor Fluid: collect between 1-5cc fluid with good cellularity
Testing Schedule:
Specimens accepted in the lab Monday-Friday, 0800-1700.
Turn Around Time:
Allow 3-5 days for final results. Contact laboratory if STAT TAT required.
Reference Range:
Varies for each probe (set). Unique sequence probes labeled with fluorochrome. Contact lab for details.

This test can be used as an adjunct to chromosomal analysis for detection of clonal abnormalities including residual disease. Suitable for interphase and metaphase analysis.
