Comments:

Other anticoagulants not recommended.

Methodology:

Staining and microscopic examination.

Instructions:

Processing:  Core and clot in 10% neutral buffered formalin.  Unfixed 
air-dried preparations of bone marrow aspirate and touch preps of the 
biospy.

Storage:  Seal smears and formalin vials in separate bags during 
shipping.

Transport:  Same or next day if liquid samples sent.
