0700-2000 Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Analytic Time:

3 hours (upon receipt in laboratory)

Reference Range:

<40 mEq/L. Levels > or = to 60 mEq/L are consistent with the diagnosis 
of cystic fibrosis.

Comments:

Notify laboratory of sample arrival by calling 356-3527.  Kits 
containing the preweighed filter paper in sealed vials may be picked up 
from Specimen Control at 6240 RCP.
