Schedule:

24 hrs/day, 7 days a week, including holidays.

2 hours (upon receipt in laboratory)

Immunometric Chemiluminescence

Processing:

Centrifuge at 3000 RPM for 10 minutes.
Aliquot plasma into labeled container and cap.

Freeze specimen immediately.

Transport
Instructions:

Place requisition into outside pocket of bag.
Place specimen into zip-lock type bag, seal bag.
Place dry ice on top of specimen in styrofoam container.
Dry Ice up to 24 hours.

Instructions:

Whole Blood pink top tube is stable at room temperature for 48 hours 
after collection time.  Do not refrigerate or freeze whole blood.

If specimen will not be received in the laboratory before 48 hours from 
collection time, please centrifuge, aliquot and freeze plasma as per 
Outreach instructions provided above.
