Return of In-House EBV Antibody Testing, Tuesday, March 26, 2024

Starting Tuesday, March 26th, 2024, in-house testing for Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) antibody panels will resume with results provided within 24 hours of specimen receipt in the laboratory. Specimen container is switching to mint green BD Vacutainer® PST Lithium Heparin tubes.

EPSTEIN-BARR VIRUS, FULL AB PANEL [LAB4584] is the preferred test for evaluating past infection.

EPSTEIN-BARR VIRUS ACUTE PANEL [LAB7810] is the preferred test for suspected acute infection.
