Adult preferred minimum: 3 mL whole blood
Adult absolute minimum: 1.5 mL whole blood
Pediatric preferred minimum: 1.5 mL whole blood
Pediatric absolute minimum: 0.25 mL whole blood


Rejection Criteria:


Frozen specimens are unacceptable.


Analytic Time:


2 working days (upon receipt)


Reference Range:


7.0-20.5 U/g Hb


Comments:


Enzyme is most stable in acid citrate dextrose (yellow ACD).
