Testing offered once per week on Thursdays, excluding University holidays. For same day service, sample must be received by 0700. For additional services, contact Clinical Pathology Resident on-call at pager #3724 or #3404. | ||

Test Limitations: |
Specimens from patients who have received preparations of mouse monoclonal antibodies for diagnosis or therapy may contain human anti-mouse antibodies (HAMA). Such specimens may show either falsely elevated or depressed values when tested with assay kits which employ mouse monoclonal antibodies. These specimens should not be assayed with the IMx B2-Microglobuiln assay. When a patient is being monitored by this assay, the same specimen type should be used throughout the monitoring period. | ||
