Interpretive Data:
The detection of adenovirus DNA is based upon the real-time 
amplification and detection of specific adenovirus genomic DNA 
sequences by PCR from total DNA extracted from the specimen.  A 
positive (Detected) PCR results should be considered in conjunction 
with clinical presentation and additional diagnostic tests prior to 
establishing a diagnosis. A negative (Not Detected) PCR result 
indicates only the absence of adenovirus DNA in the sample tested and 
does not exclude the diagnosis of disease.
