Methodology: |
DNA sequence analysis is used to test for the presence of a mutation in all 12 exons of the MCAD gene (ACADM). | ||

If a mutation is NOT found in the 985A>G region, additional sequencing and additional charges will occur; 83890, 83892, 83898, 83909(x2), 83912. MCAD DNA, Additional Sequence is part of the MCAD Profile. If a mutation is NOT found in the MCAD Profile, 985A>G region, this test will be added on by the laboratory at an additional charge.
