Rejection Criteria:
Specimen must be labeled with patient's first and last name and medical record number. Specimens will be rejected if information is not on the label when received.
Testing Schedule:
24 hrs/day, 7 days a week, including holidays.
Analytic Time:
Average Turnaround time is 1-4 hrs, depending on the complexity of the antibody(ies).
Comments:
This test is ordered automatically on a sample that is positive for the RBC antibody screen, unless the ordering physician specifically prohibits reflex testing. May include a professional consultation.
