Anti-Nuclear Antibody (ANA) Screen, with Reflex Titer

Collection Medium:
Red top tube
Minimum:
Adult and Pediatric - 2 ml; red top tube
Testing Schedule:
Daily - Batch analysis performed daily excluding 
weekends and university holidays.
Analytic Time:
3 days
Reference Range:
Negative is <1:40
Comments:
If the screen is positive at 1:40, ANA titer is automatic add-on.  Sera 
positive at 1:80 Dilution will be held for three weeks.
Sera positive at 1:320 or greater will be stored in serum bank for 1 
year if additional ENA testing is necessary.  ANA screen will detect 
centromere and most other specificities, but may not detect 
Anti-SS-A-(Ro)Antibody.
