Minimum:


2 ml in light green top tube or two 0.6 ml microtubes for pediatric 
pateints


Testing Schedule:


0700-1530 Monday through Friday; 0600-1200 Saturday, Sunday and 
holidays; sample must be received by 1200 Saturday, Sunday and holidays 
for same day service.

Analytic Time:


4 hours (upon receipt in laboratory)


Reference Range:


Used in treatment of increased intracranial pressure with
concentrations of 25-40 mcg/ml.  Mean half-life of 26.5 hours.
