Faculty

The research activities of these investigators range from the subcellular and molecular biology and pathobiology to animal physiology and traditional patient-based as well translational research and outcomes studies. Many of these faculty are active members of one or more of the interdisciplinary centers supported by the NIH, giving students a rich and collaborative environment that fosters productive investigations (see table 3 for a partial list of overlapping faculty). This setting also offers students the opportunity to participate in seminars, didactic sessions and laboratory meetings that enriches their learning environment and models the importance of team effort in the research process.
