TEACHING TRAINING
AND SUPPORT: OCRME SERVICES

offers several options to learn about teaching and education,
both brief topic-based sessions and more comprehensive training.
Each year we invite a well-known medical educator to visit
our campus to conduct workshops or seminars. Current offerings

| For
learning at your convenience we maintain a collection of on-line
learning resources on teaching topics, including clinical
teaching. |

| For
those who wish to help others develop teaching skills we offer
the Teaching Scholars program.
Participants selected for this program attend monthly training
sessions for 10 months and then work with us to develop a
teaching improvement project for their department or the College
at large. A similar program provides advanced training for
faculty from regional education sites and community-based
workshops. |

| Our
consultants will also work one on one with faculty members
to improve aspects of his or her teaching. We can create an
individualized program to help you assess your current skills,
identify areas you would like to improve, and create a program
to help you achieve your goals. For more information about
