MSTP Conversations in Research (for M1Gs and M2Gs)
This weekly, noon-time seminar series provides 1st and 2nd year MSTP students an opportunity to interact with MSTP faculty and learn about the breadth of research and clinical experiences represented by this faculty group. Faculty are asked to 1) talk about their career path, 2) describe their research interests, lab make-up, departmental affiliations and philosophy on mentoring, 3) discuss funding mechanisms, 4) talk about balancing research and clinical responsibilities and 5) give advice about medical school, graduate school and residency. Spring semester sessions in this series focus on topics of interest to graduate phase trainees (e.g. writing individual research grants, preparing for the comprehensive exam, program transitions, etc).
