Feb 2011: We received a 4-year research grant from the Burroughs Wellcome Fund to study transcriptome genetics of human pregnancy.
Jan 2011: Group research accepted for publication by PNAS and Human Molecular Genetics.
Jan 2011: Shihao Shen received a University of Iowa Graduate College Strategic Initiative Fellowship.
July 2010: We received NIH R21 grants from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) and the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI).
April 2010: We received a 5-year NIH R01 grant (R01GM088342) from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences.

Jan 2010: We received a Basil O'Connor Starter Scholar Research Award from the March of Dimes Foundation.
Jan 2010: Lan Lin received a postdoctoral travel fellowship to the ASBMB (American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) annual meeting.

Mar 2009: We received a Department of Internal Medicine 2009 pilot grant on clinical and translational research.
Mar 2009: Our paper "Large-scale analysis of exonized mammalian-wide interspersed repeats (MIRs) in primate genomes" is accepted by Human Molecular Genetics.
