Cytoplasmic
expression of mutant gI protein gI-S343A transfected with the plasmid
PTM1-gI-S343A. This mutant has a Serine changed to an Alanine at amino acid
343 which lies in a major phosphorylation site. Each of the mutants showed
similar cellular distubution as
wild type gI. Other experiments showed that the phosphorylation of the
mutant gI was signifigantly lowered.
