PHYSICAL ABILITIES - SIX MANEUVERS

To the right is a link to a video clip that demonstrates six maneuvers that can be done quickly in the office to assess physical functional abilities. Having the patient do these maneuvers not only addresses functional abilities, but it actually decreases the clinical workload by focusing the physical exam.

These maneuvers are essentially a short, focued orthopedic and neuralgic exam. Any deficiencies identified can be investigated with a more extensive exam of the extremity.
