Mental
Health and Evidence Based Practices: Ready or Not, Here They
Come! |
In the fall of 2004, a 7 part series on evidence-based practices in mental health was presented via the Iowa Communications Network. The program was attended by an average of >400 people per session across 67 ICN sites statewide, (map of locations) making it one of the most widely disseminated programs ever done over the ICN.
The goal of this series was to introduce the concepts of evidence-based practices to a broad group of stakeholders within Iowa's mental health community, and to provide an overview of 6 evidence-based practices for adults with serious mental illness that are being promoted at the national level.
