Acute Neurotrauma
Acute neurotrauma occurs when a person receives an injury to their spinal cord or brain. This injury can be caused by an accident, illness, or condition. These can include:
Traumatic brain injury
Central nervous system infections
Brain tumors and other malignancies
Multi-organ system injury
Spina bifida
Cerebral palsy
Neuromuscular disorders
Spinal cord injuries
Burn injuries
