Cerebral Palsy

Cerebral palsy or CP is a broad term that describes a group of brain disorders. It is a life-long condition but is not progressive. CP is the result of damage to the developing brain by a lack of oxygen to the brain. It occurs during pregnancy, during delivery, or shortly after birth. CP affects the communication between the brain and the muscles. Shows by the way a person moves and holds him/herself. People with cerebral palsy may also experience:

Seizures
Abnormal speech
Hearing impairments
Vision impairments
Mental retardation
