Autism
Autism is a developmental brain disorder and appears before the age of three. Autism affects the parts of the brain that controls language and social interaction. Individuals with autism may have problems with verbal and non-verbal communication and social interactions. Children and adults with autism often repeat activities and movement. They resist change in their environment. They prefer the same daily routine. They also react differently to sensations like touch or loud noises. Autism can range from mild to severe.
