Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS is a serious neurological disease. It is also called Lou Gehrig’s disease. This disease is inherited, progressive, and fatal. ALS causes the degeneration of nerve cells in the spinal cord and brain. This causes muscles to atrophy or waste away and starts in the arms and legs.
