Instructional Service (Tutor)

Staff from our Instructional Service works with K-12 students who are in the hospital and absent from their local classrooms. Tutoring is provided at the child's bedside or in classrooms here at CDD. Staff consults with local teachers while the child is here. After the child returns home, we can arrange for local school staff to continue the tutoring. We can also provide ongoing follow-up with the family and local school staff, including information about 504 accommodations plans, IEPs, and AEA teams such as the Assistive Technology Team.
