ALS Clinic
The ALS Clinic is a resource for individuals and their families as they learn to cope with the challenges of living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS. This condition is also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. New patients are first seen in the Department of Neurology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. They may then be referred to the Center, where they can tap a range of services from many different disciplines. This clinic is a joint program of the Department of Neurology and CDD, and it is affiliated with and supported by the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
