Driving Directions & Parking

From Interstate 80

  • Exit South on Dubuque St. (Exit 244)
  • Follow Dubuque St. South to Market St.
  • Right on Market St.
  • Follow Market St. to Madison St.
  • Left on Madison St.
  • Follow Madison St. to Iowa Ave.
  • Right on Iowa Ave.
  • Proceed on Iowa Ave. through the intersection of Iowa Ave. and Riverside Dr. (Hwy 6)
  • Iowa Ave. turns into Newton Rd. once you cross Riverside Dr.
  • The most convenient parking facility is Newton Road Ramp (Lot 10) which is located on the right-hand side of Newton Road after the Westlawn building, and is just north of the College of Medicine Administration Building (CMAB).
  • Do not enter the Newton Road Ramp where the meters are located [parking is limited to 1 hr. at the meters].  Please proceed on Newton Road over the speed bump and enter through the main entrance.

Walking Directions

From the Newton Road Parking Ramp use the elevator or stairs and exit South.

  • Cross Newton Rd. and proceed on the walkway that borders the Medical Education Research Facility (MRF) heading South towards the College of Medicine Administration Building (CMAB).
  • CMAB shares a courtyard with the Eckstein Medical Research Building (EMRB). There is a bench in the courtyard with two colonnades of Greek figures head's between CMAB & EMRB.  Continue to the right of CMAB and the entrance to Medical Research Center (MRC) sits between CMAB and General Hospital.
  • The building entrance is in the middle of the main floor. You will enter thru two double doors. The stairway is straight ahead and the elevator is to the right. Take either to the third floor.
  • Once you are on the third floor proceed right and take an immediate right down the south hallway where you will find the main office for the Biosciences Program located at 357 Medical Research Center.
