My overarching interest is in how proteins are regulated, and in particular that they are not simply turned on or off by single signals, but are modulated in response to multiple inputs to meet the needs of the cell at the time. In my work, I am studying how different signals, such as post-translational modifications, ligands, and association with other biological macromolecules such as DNA, change the structure and dynamics of proteins - such as the glucocorticoid receptor.
