Resources for American Indian & Native Alaskan Students

The University has an active American Indian Student Association, which hosts regular potluck dinners at the Latino/Native American Cultural Center. Our enrollment includes students from more than 30 tribes.

Curriculum
These programs offer courses that may be of particular interest to Native American students.

  • American Indian & Native Studies Certificate Program—Course work for this program is drawn from anthropology, history, law, literature, and other disciplines.
  • International Studies Program—This program is for students who want to study the intersections of culture, politics, economics, and language in the world.
  • Women's Studies Department—This interdisciplinary program brings the perspective of gender, along with a consideration of class, race, ethnicity, nationality, sexuality, and physical ability to bear on a host of problems and issues of current concern.
