Fellowships: Pediatric Radiology

Program Information

The one year fellowship in pediatric radiology involves imaging of children from the newborn period through adolescence. All areas of pediatric imaging are emphasized, including magnetic resonance imaging, pediatric neuroradiology, computed tomography, ultrasound, angiography and interventional procedures, and conventional imaging techniques. Pediatric radiologists supervise fellows who are in the role of consultants during their active pediatric radiology services. Fellows also are active in a number of research projects and are expected to become involved in the teaching mission of the section.

Fellows receive free medical and dental care for themselves and their immediate family at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Additionally, malpractice insurance is provided through the State of Iowa at no charge. The yearly stipend is competitive with other comparable programs.
