Amani has been doing research in the field of cancer immunotherapy and nanotherapeutics for the past 6 years. She initially worked with Dr. Alexander Abdelnoor in combining chemotherapy with TLR adjuvants for melanoma. She also worked with Dr. Steen Madsen on using macrophages as vehicles for gold nanoshells in glioma. Currently, she is working with Dr. George Weiner on using biodegradable nanoparticles for in situ immunization against lymphoma. She is also working on a collaborative project with Dr. Lyse Norian exploring the effect of obesity on immunomodulatory monoclonal antibodies.
Away from work, Amani enjoys spending time with family, reading and walking.
