    UIHC Floor Plans

The Hospital Floor Plans can be accessed from the ATG site, which requires a password for access to the graphical and tabular information. To request access, go to the site and click on 'Register' to go to AVS Registration. Approval is usually complete within a few hours or by the next day. Be sure to fill in 'University of Iowa Hospitals' in the "Facility Name" field.

To access the floorplans, click here. A username and password is required.

It is necessary to download and install a program called 'Autodesk Design Review' to view the plans, unless you prefer to download and use the AutoCAD (dwg) files. Details are at the site, under 'Downloads'.

The current version of Autodesk Design Review requires administrative rights on your computer to install. If you do not have administrative rights, contact your IT support person to get it installed. UI Health Care users who do not have administrative privileges should call the HCIS help desk at 6-0001.

An alternative is to install Autodesk Design Review 2008, which does not require administrative rights. After installation, this Service Pack patch should also be run for proper operation.

For information on copying floor plans into a word document, please click here.

Access to UIHC floor plans and space data is restricted, only authorized users can access the site. Click here for information on how to request access right to the floor plans and space data. If you have questions or problems, please contact Mark Atherton. Mark can be reached by e-mail at: or by telephone at 356-1602.
