Services and Fees
The Gene Targeting Core Facility offers basic service as well as additional services.
Basic Service
The following items are included in basic service. The estimated time for completion of basic service is 12 months.
- Consultation for making gene targeting construct
- Basic gene targeting constructs (pPNT, pOSdupdel, and pPNTLoxNeo)
- Electroporation of ES cells (R1, BK4, HM1, TC1, E14 and D3 lines available)
- Picking up to 2 x 96 colonies for investigator for screening or picking up to 5 x 96 colonies for investigator for screening in 96-well format
- Expanding and liquid nitrogen storage of up to 10 targeted ES cell lines.
- Karyotyping up to 5 targeted ES cell lines
- Microinjection up to 3 targeted ES cell lines, up to 40 embryos per line
- Generation of chimeras from at least 2 targeted ES cell lines
- Breeding chimeras from at least 2 targeted ES cell lines with C57BL/6 females
- Germline transmission from 2 lines of chimeras
The total cost for basic service is $12,000.
