STEM CELL RESEARCH NEWS CONFERENCE CLIENT: University of Iowa / State of Iowa PRODUCTION OVERVIEW: AMPS coordinated the setup and production of the news conference. Governor Culver’s remarks were then extracted for viewing on the College of Medicine’s web site. TOOLS: The speeches, including the Governor’s address, were shot using a Hitachi BetacamSP camera, and a mult-box and PA system were also utilized so that members of the media could use the same audio signal. Post-production editing was done on Media 100 and compressed in QuickTime format for the web using Sorenson Squeeze software. |

VOLUNTEER SERVICES ORIENTATION VIDEO CLIENT: Volunteer Services (UIHC) PRODUCTION OVERVIEW: This video was produced as an orientation video to introduce new volunteers to the many different types of jobs that UIHC volunteers do. The video was also a Gold Winner in the 2006 Mar-Com Creative Awards national competition. TOOLS: The interviews and B-roll were shot on BetaSP tape using a Hitachi camera, edited on Media 100 hardware, and dubbed to BetaSP and DVD. Production music, video effects, and narration were all added during post-production. |

| MEDICAL EDUCATION AT IOWA: 2006 REPORT TO THE SAHAI FAMILY CLIENT: UI College of Medicine PRODUCTION OVERVIEW: The Sahai family from Webster City, IA, gifted $3.75 million to the college, and this video was an overview of the updates and improvements that their gift has helped to provide. TOOLS: Interviews were shot on BetaSP tape using a Hitachi camera, and B-roll was shot using a Canon XL1S MiniDV camera. Post production was using Final Cut Studio (Final Cut Pro 5) on a G5 Mac.
